FOREWORD
FROM THE BOOK
Natalia Lazarus is an actress and director, so it comes as no surprise that her poetry collection A MOMENT IN TIME is actually a drama, with the kind of twists and turns one associates with a well-constructed stage play. It’s also meta-theatrical, because the love affair she chronicles in her spare yet heartbreaking verses takes place while she is directing and performing in a play – mine, as it happens - A PICASSO. Lazarus’ collection is subtitled “A Collection of Poems from my Journey through A Year in Picasso,” a journey that takes her from sun baked beaches and candlelit dinners to those shadow realms called backstage, in the wings and behind the curtain. The book is warm and witty, a page turner, and a love story.
